When Cap and Bucky face a small-time criminal named Snatch, he abandons his lookout post and gets battered by his gangster boss. Snatch vows to exact revenge, and when he gets the chance, he robs a costume shop of a parcel that the customer believes to be a relic of the fabled Robe of Evil. Snatch feels stronger and more impervious after donning the robe, and he no longer feels like a coward. Even his distinct speech patterns vanish when he takes off the robe. He goes back to his boss, murders him, and seizes control of his gang.
